Police operations by the Provincial Integrated Task Team to ensure that offenders are brought to book in this province resulted in the arrest of a suspect.
During the early hours of this morning, a 43-year-old man was arrested at his Haraldry Avlonpark home in Mfuleni for being in possession of an unlicensed 9mm pistol.
The members were led to the address by a tip off which then prompted the search operation. Once charged the suspect is expected to make a court appearance in the Blue Downs Magistrate court on a charge of possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
