64-Year-Old Male Kills Wife To End Her Suffering. The male says that they would sometimes not have enough finances to cover their basic needs.
A 64-year-old male killed his wife in Eastbury, KwaZulu-Natal. The male says he killed his ailing wife because she asked him to do it. The 64-year-old male, Nundkumaran Poonusamy Pillay, acknowledged that he was not innocent at the Durban High Court. The session was held by Judge Shyam Gyanda on Wednesday.
The 64-year-old male gave himself to the authorities at the Phoenix Police Station. The male slashed his wife’s, Dhunalutchmee Naidoo, throat in their Eastbury residence on the 8th of Apri. In a statement that was read by the male’s lawyer, Pragasen Marimuthu, states that his wife did not want to be on this earth anymore.
The male says that they would sometimes not have enough finances to cover their basic needs. He also said that she would often cry. He also says, “…and she told me that she felt bad for everything that she has put me through every day. She begged me to kill her.” The male says that he attempted restricting her breathing but the female denied it because she didn’t want to die like that. She told him that she would like to be pierced with a knife.
The 64-year-old male said that he stabbed her throat once. He says he did not slash it. He said that he sat with his wife as she was seeing this world for the last time. Pillay said: “After she passed, I kissed her on her forehead and told her that I loved her.” He says that he did this because he loves his wife. The sentencing trial is set to take place in the following month.
