Former Marine Kills Man In South Africa To Get Money. The man was pronounced dead when the vehicle that was burnt, believed to be his, had a burnt body inside around 2011 in Sterkspruit Eastern Cape.
Former United States of America marine Karl Kamal Rashid has been detained for 35 years, the former marine is said to have killing an unidentified man by choking him. Rashid placed the unidentified male’s corpse in a vehicle and set the vehicle on fire. The former marine killed the man so that he could hoax his own demise in order to swindle money from institutions, Outsurance and and FNB. He wanted to swindle 500 000.
The Mthatha High Court acting judge, Noluthando Ndzondo, sentenced the man at Sterkspruit on Tuesday. The Daily Dispatch says the verdict was 20 years in prison on the counts of killing the man; he is also being imprisoned for 15 years on triple counts of fraud. The former marine has already been detained for 6 years now because bail was granted to him.

The wife was previously part of the South African Air Force.
Before the verdict was delivered, the former marine agreed to have killed the man, he also asked for forgiveness from both the American state and the South African state. Rashid says, “In all my 23 year I have been a soldier, I never killed anyone. But it is now that I made a stupid mistake.”
