A video of an intoxicated man trying to vote on the 8th of May made rounds on the internet. The video shows the drunk man finding it hard to stand still at the voting desk. He then stumbles back, using a pen that is attached to the voting desk for support.
When the man saw that he couldn’t balance himself he moved forward. When he moved forward he stumbled further and ruined the voting desk. He ended up falling to the ground. The people that were present laughed at him in the background as he was stumbling.
Social media users laughed at the man’s drunken moment. One social media user said that the man voted for Hlaudi Motsoeneng’s ACM party. One social media user said the man probably marked the floor instead of marking the ballot paper. One social media user laughed at the police that were present at the voting station saying they were just sitting there while the man was stumbling.
The social media user says: “Police just chilling and laughing in the background!” One social media user recalled it being said that there shouldn’t be any cameras present in the voting stations. The user says, “We were told cameras weren’t/aren’t allowed in there.” Another user was also focused on the camera being in the voting station. The user says, “why is there a camera in there?” One user says the politicians “took him out all night for a vote.”
