You may not know this, but Samuel L. Jackson is the highest all-time box office star. His movies have made over $4.9053 billion, grossing an average of $69.1 million per film. Despite the financial success, he was only nominated for an Academy Award once for his role in “Pulp Fiction.” He lost that year to Tommy Lee Jones who starred in “The Fugitive.”

Hugh Jackman is an Australian Actor best known for playing the Marvel character Wolverine in eight different movies. Despite getting started in the 90’s, it took the actor two decades to score an Academy Award nomination, of which he finally did for his performance in 2012’s “Les Miserables.” Unfortunately, he lost to Jean Dujardin, who won for his role in “The Artist.”

Robert Downey Jr. is Iron Man, and he’s also freakin’ hilarious. Unfortunately he lost to Javier Bardem that year who appeared in “No Country For Old Men.” Robert was also nominated, but lost, in 1992 for his performance in “Chaplin.”
