Accused Murderer Of 4 Sibusiso Mpungose Opts To Stay In Jail. The accused stated this at the Pinetown Magistrates’ Court on Friday
The father accused of allegedly murdering his three children by hanging them along with his stepdaughter, 16-year-old Ayakha Jiyane, Sibusiso Mpungose will not take a bail option. The accused stated this at the Pinetown Magistrates’ Court on Friday. The father was in tears as they told him his charges in court.
The court proceedings will be continued on October 9 for more examination. The announcement of the killings were released on the news on Tuesday. At the time Colonel Thembeka Mbele, the police spokesperson acknowledged that the authorities were looking for the father. The bodies of Khwezi, Kuhlekonke and Siphesihle, his three kids aged between 4-years-old to 10-years-old, were found hanged at their house during the afternoon on Tuesday. The man went to fetch the kids from school, Ayakha Jiyane was last seen communicating with the man when he came to fetch from her school, Pinetown Girls’ High School.
Colonel Thembeka Mbele stated that the body of Ayakha was found on Tuesday, the body was hanged in the bushes at New Germany, in KwaZulu-Natal. Xoli Mpungose, the mother of the four children, stated that she discovered her children’s bodies on Wednesday. He hanged the children in different rooms. Xoli Mpungose said: “In one child’s room, he hung them on a burglar bar on the window with belt from their night gown. In my room as well, he hung the other one.” The mother says the man hass been sending the child to and fro to the shops to buy snacks, she presumed he was doing it so that he could kill the children individually.
