The car collided into a home at Osizweni during the late evening on Tuesday, in the process the collision also messed up a neighbouring home according to the Newcastle Advertiser.
Thulani Zwane, the KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson says the deputy mayor was apprehended for supposed drunk driving, including negligent and reckless driving, according to TimesLive reports. Reuben Molelekoa was due at the Madadeni Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday. One of the residents of the messed up homes says that they live in the home for 48 years, they also managed to revamp the home. The deputy Mayor was not scarred by the accident.
