Wedding days are one of the most expensive days for the bride and groom. One of the nice things about wedding days except for tying the knot with your soul mate is getting contributions from the people at your guests. Not getting contributions wouldn’t stop you from getting married though. However, the contributions stopped a Canadian bride-to-be from getting married.
The bride-to-be, said to be named Suzan, wanted to use about R660 000 for her wedding. She then put a price for a reservation to her wedding for her guests. The woman supposedly chose to have a costly wedding because she wanted to have wedding that portrays her relationship with her partner, a fantasy like type of relationship. The bride-to-be thus asked the people that would attend her wedding to contribute about R16 000.
She was let down when the people who were to attend her wedding couldn’t assist her with the money. Her friends reportedly felt as if their friendship would cost more than they were willing to take out, the friends were also surprised by the money that she asked for. Suzan supposedly cut he friends off, she was also furious over the situation. In one of her reported posts on Facebook posts, the woman explained why she stopped the wedding from happening. “I specifically asked for cash gifts…We talked to a few people who even promised us more to make our dream come true,” said Suzan.
