Grade R Boy Raped By Four School Kids. The alleged event happened one week ago in a classroom at Fakukhanya Primary School at Ekurhuleni.
A Grade R pupil was allegedly raped by four nine-year-olds. The alleged event happened one week ago in a classroom at Fakukhanya Primary School at Ekurhuleni. The mother of the Grade R boy says the event occurred when he was leaving school. The mother says she thought something was not right when the boy didn’t arrive at home by 2pm.
The Grade R pupil got home at about 3:30pm. “I got worried when he was not home an hour later and he only arrived at 3:30pm. I asked what happened and that is when he told me that four boys had pushed him into one of the classrooms where they undressed him and took turns raping him,” says the mother of the Grade R pupil to Sowetan Live. The mother went on to say that one of the boys told the boy that he will be his female dog.
She says that she took the child to the Tsakane police station, where they told her that they don’t have facilities for young children. The mother says, “I went to Tsakane police station and they refused to open a case, citing that they don’t have facilities for young kids. I took him to the local clinic and even though they said there was not much damage I am still very worried about my son’s state of health.” She states that the boy’s behaviour has changed since the event occurred. She adds that he has become quite violent with other children and he didn’t want to go to school a week ago.
The mother is also concerned about the four boys that violated her child, saying that they could be uncovered to assault too. “Those boys need help as they might be exposed to being abused as well.” She says only one mother came to the fore to apologise for her child’s behaviour. “They should go back to the police station and ask for the station commander and tell him what happened. He will be able to help them,” says Captain Kay Makhubele, the police spokesperson. The mother reportedly says the four boys need counselling because they might be victims of assault. “It is clear that one of the boys has also been sexually abused; that is why I think that they need counselling so that they can also be helped,” says the Grade R pupil’s mother.
