Yestersay afternoon, Port Shepstone police officers arrested a security guard who was found in possession of stolen tablets at his home. The arrested suspect (39) was charged with burglary and is expected to appear in the Port Shepstone Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.
According to the principal of a school in Port Shepstone, when he returned to school yesterday after the holidays, he detected that 20 tablet devices were stolen in an apparent burglary. Police were alerted and during the course of the investigation, police officers proceeded to the home of a security guard who was protecting the premises.
When the police officers searched his house, they found six stolen tablets on the premises. He was immediately placed under arrest. The investigation is ongoing and police hope to recover the devices that have not yet been found.
