At 15H06 Saturday afternoon Netcare 911 responded to reports of a drowning at a public swimming pool in Tongaat North of Durban.
Reports from the scene indicate that Lifeguards found a 7-year-old male submerged in the swimming pool.
The lifeguards pulled the child out the water and found him unresponsive and not breathing.
CPR was immediately initiated until Paramedics arrived who started a full advanced life support resuscitation.
Sadly the patients condition rapidly deteriorated and he was sadly declared deceased on the scene.
