It was reported by United Kingdom newspaper ‘The Sun’ that a man had promised his girlfriend a supposed spa weekend for Valentine’s Day. However, instead of a relaxing spa weekend, the man took his girlfriend to a tour of nine Spar supermarkets. The event happened in Birmingham. The man told the newspaper that he thought it would be funny.
“If you say you are going on a spa weekend everyone thinks s-p-a. But I thought it would be funny to go on a Spar weekend…I did buy her something in each one, I’m not a total monster,” says David Burrows. His 44-year-old girlfriend Sue Pakey started becoming doubtful when they stopped at the second Spar supermarket. The boyfriend took selfies outside each store.
David Burrows took Sue Pakey out for dinner as a way of saying sorry for the prank.
