EFF Deputy Leader Commends Representatives In The Eastern Cape For Fighting Off Guards At Legislature. The Economic Freedom Fighters’ deputy leader commended the party’s representative in the Eastern Cape legislature for brawling off guards at the legislature.
The Economic Freedom Fighters’ deputy leader commended the party’s representative in the Eastern Cape legislature for brawling off guards at the legislature. The fight was supposedly came about when the speaker, Helen Sauls-August asked the sergeant-at-arms, Thembekile Mzantsi, to bring guards so that they could remove the Economic Freedom Fighters Members of Parliament Legislature. This is due to some of them not wanting to leave the legislature house on Tuesday.
The speaker told the Members of Provincial Legislature to exit the house due to their supposedly inappropriate clothing. It was supposed to be the day to debate Eastern Cape premier Oscar Mabuyane’s state of the province address. The video recording shows the representatives of the Economic Freedom Fighters supposedly attacking the guards that were told to take them out. Blood was also visible on a guard’s mouth, who was attacked by over 10 people in a circle while one person comes to help him.
The deputy leader commended the representative for supposedly defending the Economic Freedom Fighters elected representatives. “Well done to [EFF Eastern Cape] Ground Forces for defending the EFF elected representatives against the ANC hired thugs who prevent them from performing their constitutional obligations as MPLs. Next time the fight back must be tenfold,” says Floyd Shivambu.
