Gauteng: At 12H01 Monday afternoon Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on Rustenburg Road in Magaliesburg.
Reports from the scene indicate that a bakkie and a truck were involved in a collision.
Medics assessed the scene and found that an elderly adult male had sustained critical injuries and required Advanced Life Support intervention to stabilise him.
Due to the nature of his injuries a Netcare 911 Helicopter ambulance was activated to airlift the patient to hospital for further treatment.
Circumstances leading up to the collision will be investigated by the relevant authorities.
