Snow White and the Huntsmen
Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattison, every Twilight fan’s favorite costars, had a 4 year relationship that was turned on its head when Stewart cheated with her married Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders. Stewart issued a public apology to Pattinson saying, “This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry.” Unfortunately, despite her apology, the lapse of judgement ended both Sanders’ marriage and Stewart and Pattinson’s relationship.
Stage Beauty
She might look like the good girl, but Claire Danes has broken up more than one marriage with her cheating. In 2004, after meeting on the set of Stage Beauty, Danes stole Billy Crudup away from his 7 month pregnant wife, Mary Louise Parker. Two years later, Crudup was the victim when Danes’ wandering eye landed upon yet another of her co-stars: Hugh Dancy. The two ended up married in 2009, hopefully this time she’s playing for keeps.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith
Everyone’s favorite Jen vs. Angie debate has dramatic beginnings – literally. Rumor has it that Brad Pitt cheated on his then-partner, Jennifer Aniston, on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Although Pitt denies he cheated, he does admit that he did fall in love with Jolie on set. The pair finally got hitched last year and share 6 children.
Proof of Life
For nine years, Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan seemed to be the picture of a successful celebrity marriage — until Ryan met Russell Crowe in 2000 on the set of Proof of Life. Following her unfaithfulness, she and Quaid ended their marriage. While Ryan has received most of the blame for the failed marriage, she has shared since that during their marriage Quaid cheated on her as well.
Cleopatra
Richard Burton first met the violet-eyed Elizabeth Taylor poolside, when she was 21. Although he was immediately taken with her, their romance didn’t begin for several years later when they met again on the set of Cleopatra. While they both tried to avoid the inevitable, a kissing scene – that went on just a little too long – was the catalyst for their cheating. At the time, they were both married, but in no time they had ditched their spouses and run off to Montreal, where they married each other.
Titanic
Jack and Rose weren’t the only two falling for each other on the set of Titanic. The beginnings of director James Cameron’s fourth marriage started on set. At the time, he was with actress Linda Hamilton, but at work he was falling for Suzy Amis, who had a small part in the film. Cameron briefly left Hamilton for Amis before changing his mind and wedding Hamilton. Eight months later and he had flip-flopped again, back into Amis’ arms. The two are still married and have three children together.
Mind Over Murder
Lifetime movies can break up marriages, too! The very day they met on the set of Lifetime’s Mind Over Murder, Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott hooked up and yes, they were both married to different people at the time. Since then, McDermott has allegedly cheated once more, this time on Spelling.
Northern Lights
Lifetime strikes once again! And once again, it breaks up two separate marriages for the price of one cheating scandal. On the set of 2009’s Northern Lights, LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian got together – ending both of their previous marriages. In the end, it all worked out: LeAnn and Eddie ended up married in 2011.
Dream House
Beautiful couple Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz first met on the set of Dream House. At the time, it just so happens that they were both engaged. Before the film even came out on DVD, the two had broken up with their respective fiances and had started dating. What do you think happened?
