Crime intelligence driven operation by Alice Highway Patrol members yielded results with the arrest of a 47-year-old male for dealing in drugs.
Police followed up information and went to a house at Gladiola Street, New Town Fort Beaufort and recovered ninety one (91) tik straws, eight (8) full mandrax tablets to the estimated street value of R5700. 00 and an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect was immediately arrested and charged for dealing in drugs.
The suspect is due to appear at Adelaide Magistrate Court soon.
Amathole Acting District Commissioner Brigadier Ngangema Xakavu applauded the members for ensuring that those who break the law are brought to justice.
