DURBAN – The Provincial Drug and Firearm Unit continues with its mandate to curb the illegal drug trade in the province. This was followed by the arrest of three suspects at Montclair and Morningside yesterday afternoon.
The suspects aged between 26 and 35 were placed under arrest after they were found in possession of 79 capsules of rock cocaine, one large moon of cocaine, 10 mandrax tablets, 25 pieces of rock cocaine, a plastic packet of methcathonone and two plastic packets of crystal meth. The total value of the recovered drugs is R8500-00. They are appearing before the Durban Magistrate’s Court today.
The KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Khombinkosi Jula praised the police officers for their perseverance in rooting-out drug dealers in the province.
