Patrons show interest in knowing more about the SAPS’ Explosives Section; another favourite exhibition stall at this year’s Rand Show. The SAPS members also educate patrons on the important role K9 sniffer dogs play in terms of detecting various types of explosives.
In addition, Warrant Officer Lebitso, an investigating officer at the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigations (DPCI) better known as Hawks, is engaging with patrons to create awareness on human trafficking.
Furthermore, Hawks investigating officers from the Narcotics unit are explaining the various types of narcotics and its dangers to Rand Show patrons.
Technology Management Service (TMS), Radio Communication Section which repairs and installs South African Police Service radios, blue lights and sirens is also present and interacting with curious patrons.
