Today Berea SAPS, with Berea CPF, Metro, Fire Brigade, security companies, came together to bring Berea community members together, to promote GBV issues and #ChildProtectionWeek.
The day started with a motorcade led by UShaka Team, Durban Girls High School Drum Magerettes, law enforcement partners and security partners.
The day was full, with exciting events and stands at Berea Park. The Station Commander Col MI Mngadi spoke to the community encouraging them to get involved with crime community structures and to join SAPS fight against crime. Together they can do so much more. He also offered an open door policy to his community.
Community Safety and Liaison participated on the day encouraging the community to join SAPS in the fight against GBV. Berea CPF Chairperson encouraged communities to join CPF and to also be part of the strategies to eradicate crime in Berea SAPS.
The day was filled events by all partners, from drum majorettes, Gordon Road Primary School Steel Drum band, an SAPS Explosive unit demonstration, dog show, stand-up comedian and many other events.
The crime awareness day was a great success, bringing unity in the community in Berea SAPS precinct against the fight against crime!
