Because she was there for him during his recent woes, Bill offers to escort Brooke to the party to be her support system in the event that Ridge is there.
Eric has a few surprises up his sleeve for Stephanie and her guests.

The reason behind the party is temporarily forgotten by Stephanie’s guests as they take part in the Irish themed party festivities that include performances by Celtic Woman and Irish dancers. During the party Brooke is blindsided by the information given to her by Felicia about what Stephanie’s next move will be.

As Stephanie and Eric take what may be their final trip together to the Big Bear cabin, she comes to terms with her imminent demise.
Both feeling lonely and rejected, Bill comforts Brooke after the sorrow brought on by the events that took place at Stephanie’s party. While trying to convince Katie to not go through with her plan, Taylor inadvertently gives her hope that the plan is actually working.

Sensing that Taylor is withholding vital information, Brooke demands that she reveal Katie’s whereabouts. Katie takes the big risk of coming out of hiding and visiting her familiar stomping grounds despite being incognito. She soon regrets venturing out when she is recognized and followed by Taylor.
Brooke gets to see a different side of Bill after spending the day helping him with parenting Will. Liam asks Steffy to move back into the home that they once shared.

Bill reveals a different side of himself to an unsuspecting Brooke. Stephanie presents Liam with conditions on their relationship in the event that she accepts his offer to move back in with him. Katie threatens to disappear forever if Taylor tells anyone of her whereabouts.
Eric feels emotionally torn when Thomas calls an emergency Forrester Creations meeting that would take him away from Stephanie’s bedside – she insists that he be there for the company.

Brooke arrives at the Big Bear cabin at the request of Stephanie to take on the position as caregiver in Eric’s absence. Katie is convinced that she is dying while being rushed to the hospital during a massive panic attack.
Rick strongly disagrees with Thomas’ multi-million dollar proposed changes to Forrester Creations. Eric attempts to explain to Pam the reasoning behind Stephanie’s decision to go away for her final days.

Thomas tries his best to get the Forrester Creations group on his side to make the changes needed to take the company into a more modern method of business.
Meanwhile, Eric has a difficult time concentrating when the love of his life is on her deathbed so many miles away. Taylor is forced to use her skills as a psychiatrist to tend to an emotionally out-of-control Katie. Brooke and Stephanie reminisce about all of the good and bad times that have taken place at the Big Bear cabin.

Taylor is finally able to get through to Katie that her body is not rejecting her heart and that she is not dying. Realizing how selfish she has been in the past few weeks, Katie decides to return home to Bill and their baby.
Stephanie’s family reminisce as they watch the DVD that was shot during Stephanie’s Celebration of Life party. Wanting to show how much Brooke means to her, Stephanie gives her something to remember her by. Stephanie says her final “goodbye”.

Katie acknowledges her depression and realizes how bad it got when she returns to the dingy apartment that she’s been living in to pack up her belongings. She is excited about her homecoming and eagerly awaits Bill’s arrival.
Brooke finds comfort in the arms of Bill following the loss of her best friend, Stephanie. Eric and Pam honor Stephanie’s memory in the way that each of them thinks that she would approve.

Following their trip to Big Bear, Bill and Brooke come home to find that Katie has returned. They are happy to see that Katie is back to her old self again and is easily bonding with Will.
Eric and Pam deliver the news of Stephanie’s passing to the family and friends who have been anticipating their arrival. Everyone attempts to contain their tears knowing that is what Stephanie would prefer.
