The reinforcement by the batch of troop will boost the province in policing strategic areas whilst focusing on some of the national challenges, including Gender-Based-Violence which is being regarded as a national pandemic where SAPS is one of the first responders.
During the keynote address, the Provincial Commissioner emphasized on the importance of discipline that is required from the newly graduated Police officials. The General also highlighted that the members should unleash their potential to render effective and excellent service to the public as the SAPS did not hire criminals but rather professionals. “In a few days’ time it will be Christmas but these members who are like a broom, will be sweeping away crime throughout the province” said the General.
