She went to Stellenbosch University and the University of Cape Town, graduating with a Performer’s Diploma in Speech and Drama (Bilingual) and a Teaching Diploma.
She was once married to South African actor Ian Roberts
She has two children

She starred as Ingrid Jordaan on the M-Net Afrikaans-language soapie Binneland Sub Judice (formerly known as Binnelanders), between 2007 and 2010.
Sheonce left the Isidingo production but later returned in August 2010
Her other qualifications include; teaching in Afrikaans, Drama and English, Aromatherapist, Costume Design, Wardrobe, Translating and Presenting.
Her first acting job was touring the Cape – presenting lovely literature through Library Tours.
