AMATHOLE DISTRICT – Murder suspect arrested by Dutywa detectives

AMATHOLE DISTRICT – Dutywa Detectives have arrested a 35-year-old man for alleged murder of a 34-year-old man. It is alleged that the victim was stabbed to death on Tuesday, 08 December 2020 at about 16:00 at Ngxakaxha Village, Dutywa.

He died at the scene and the motive for the murder is still not clear and police will not speculate.

The suspect was arrested and will appear before the Dutywa Magistrate’s Court this morning of Wednesday, 09 December 2020 on a murder charge.

In another unrelated incident, Centane Police are investigating a murder case of a 14-year-old girl. It is alleged that the victim and her friend went to Luqongo Locality, Macibe Village, Centane on 06 December 2020.

Her lifeless body with visible injuries was found in a village she was visiting on 08 December 2020.

No arrests have been made and Centane Police detectives are working around the clock to trace the perpetrator/s.
