Public speaker Anele Mda went on to Twitter to supposedly lay out her frustration towards Woolworths. However, her plan didn’t go as planned. When she tried telling people what she got from Woolworths that made her unhappy and how they responded she got a bit of support but she also got a lot of backlash.
“Whoever leads [Woolworths] is leading a messy organisation or lacks leadership in totality. After reporting on their TL that they sold me a SEALED pack of still water that had an almost empty bottle now they ask me to do their work…,” says Anele Mda. Most of the comments she got from Black Twitter were those that were against the way she acted. One tweep says what they asked from her is not unreasonable.
The tweep says, “Imagine having a problem with a service provider. They request info, which is not unreasonable by any standard, to rectify your issue, and you react like this. Anele, you have successfully brewed a storm out of a tea cup.” One tweep says, “With so many challenges confronting our country does Anele really expect us to be discussing her half-empty bottle of water purchased at Woolies!” One tweep says, “Its possible that this Anele Mda took that pack on purpose just so she can come here and bring all this attention to her and shame she is getting it.”
