It has been recently announced that the convicted racist, Penny Sparrow, has recently passed away. The woman was known by the public because of her Facebook post about beachgoers that were at the KwaZulu-Natal beach. “We have been through so much through all of this and we are still struggling…she was my mom,” says Charmaine Cowie. Tweeps were divided over the passing away of Penny Sparrow. Some tweeps were happy that she passed away. One tweep made a joke about the devil waiting for Penny Sparrow. The tweep says, “Satan waiting for Penny Sparrow at hellsgate.” The caption was accompanied by a meme of Dineo Ranaka’s mother.
One tweep says, “So Penny Sparrow [is gone] …Steve Hofmeyer wil be the pastor presiding over the funeral.” One tweep says this should be a warning for those who are racist. The tweep says, “Hope All other RACISTS realize what KARMA is capable of…Penny Sparrow…Terreblanche…Are a great example.” Some tweeps say the people who are celebrating the death of Penny Sparrow are inhumane. One tweep says people should think about the family instead of her.

I hope she became a better person after her conviction.” One tweep says, “Penny Sparrow was no angel but celebrating her death says A LOT about your character…” One tweep says, “All these Penny Sparrow tweets are so mean. Since when is someone’s death celebrated?” Penny Sparrow was in the news for calling black beachgoers monkeys on one of her Facebook posts.
