Black Twitter Frustrated About Social Media Influencer Nikki Shange’s Thoughts About Her Rape And The Perpetrators. YouTuber and social media influencer Nikki Shange went on to Twitter to speak about her rape experiences.
YouTuber and social media influencer Nikki Shange went on to Twitter to speak about her rape experiences. She went on to say that her mind was renewed after by the word of God after her experienced. However, her sentiments towards the rapes that she endured didn’t get a good response from Black Twitter because she supposedly tried to justify the actions of the claimed perpetrators.
“I was raped twice by two different men which happened to be my exes. But nonetheless, I had to forgive them and forgive myself and then forget that it even happened. Forgiveness goes along with forgetting, that is the Gospel of Jesus Christ,” says Nikki Shange. “I use to say “rape destroyed me”, but the truth is, I destroyed me. I gave it power over my life because of my confession. I let it destroy me. Nothing that goes into a man can defile him, but what goes out of him can. It was my confession that destroyed me, not the rape.”
When she spoke about rape and the spirit, people didn’t like what she said. “…I’m not justifying rape but many tend to blame the man but rape is a spirit. It is the spirit doing not the person. A spirit needs flesh to dwell in. Being angry at the person is foolish. You deal with the Spirit not the person. Hence why I saw no need to go to the police…Ever noticed how “the rapists” always say “something took over me, I was thinking, it happened so fast”. Yes, that’s because rape is a spirit. And it needs flesh to dwell in. The people who raped me, I have nothing but love for them. The love overflows because I understand,” says the social media influencer.
Some tweeps feel as if Nikki Shange is being a troll. “That Nikki Shange girl though wow. Is there a bigger troller than her on these streets,” says one tweep. One tweep says, “Nikki Shange is a troll. I am convinced. Even God holds and will hold people accountable for their actions according to your religion. What the hell is this “spirit” nonsense? People were given a choice between good and evil, no?” The social media influencer has also released her statement on YouTube.
