Black Twitter Mocks Lynsey Sharp For Coming In 9th After Caster Semenya. When Caster raced at the 800m race of the IAAF Diamond League in Doha this past Friday, people were emotional as it was her last performance.
The legendary Caster Semenya has been battling with the IAAF on her testosterone for years. However, it got serious this year and fellow athlete Lynsey Sharp has been at the forefront of the people that have been against Caster participating in the race with her “advantage”. However, Caster has been championing on despite the challenges for her to get away from participating in the 800m race and also for her to start taking medication to reduce her testosterone.
When Caster raced at the 800m race of the IAAF Diamond League in Doha this past Friday, people were emotional as it was her last performance. People loved her win but some people on social media also attacked Caster’s nemesis, Lynsey. The athlete finished 9th at the Doha race this past Friday. She says that people have been promising to kill her.
“By no means am I over the moon about this… I’ve had threats against my family, and that’s not a position I want to be in. It’s really unfortunate the way it’s played out. She says that this has been happening to her for the past eleven years since she started knowing Semenya in 2008. The frustrations of people on social media were started when she complained about Caster taking part in the 800m race without taking medication.
People on social media had a lot to say on Lynsey Sharp. Most of them just made fun of her being really behind Caster Semenya. One user joked about Lynsey being behind Caster, saying that she is also behind on Google searches. South African comedian David Goliath says that a Huawei P30 would also not be able to see how far Lynsey is from Caster. One user replied to a tweet of Lynsey receiving death threats, the user said that she was not receiving death threats but was just called out for her lack of sportsmanship.
