The Resort Ranch near Polokwane in Limpopo has been publicised as the area to quarantine the South Africans that have been to China. However, some people were not happy with Limpopo being the area were the people would be quarantined.
Black Twitter commented on the area in Limpopo being the quarantine area. Social media influencer ‘Man’s NOT Barry Roux’ says, “Robben Island would have been a perfect place for those people to be quarantined at.” One tweep says, “I see other provinces laughing about this, but yall forget that [Limpopo] is in South Africa and we won’t need passports to your precious provinces if we catch the disease, doesn’t this make us all exposable??”
Some tweeps were concerned about the people that are going to church at Moria. One tweep says, “A church hosts its easter conference in Limpopo in less than a month and roughly 5 million people go there every year. If by any chance these quarantine sites are unable to contain the spread of #CoronaVirusSA we might as well stop washing our hands.” One tweep says, “Imagine the millions of people who’ll be at Moria (Limpopo) during Easter holidays.”
