One social media user went on to Twitter to show people that he minds his own “business”. The user’s post stated that his neighbour was supposedly abusing his wife but then the man didn’t want to supposedly intervene. The tweet had other tweeps in outrage.
“My neighbour ouchea killing his wife in the early hours of the morning. I’m just ouchea minding my own bu’ness,” says the social media user. Black Twitter replied to the man’s video, which resulted in others replying in #MenAreTrash. One tweep says, “I still can’t believe this video. It’s one thing to sit back and decide it’s none of your business while a man kills his wife. It’ another to post a video of yourself calmly online listening to the whole thing. And with that caption too. How is this not psychopathic behaviour.” One tweep says, “If men didn’t understand what “men are trash meant”…This is the explanation…”
Some tweeps say that he could have at least called the police. One tweep says, “I’m not saying go insie and risk [your] life but the time [you] took this lame video [you] could have at least called the cops…” One tweep says, “So the first thing you do when you hear someone screaming that is obviously is some sort of danger you pull out your phone and record a video trying to be funny for Twitter…instead of calling 911…” One tweep says, “You know you could have called the Police the fact that you are so passive about it is so disturbing [I don’t know] what to say.”
