Black Twitter Speaks About The Modern Idea Of Polygamy #LetsTalkPolygamy. Mzansi Magic’s ‘Mna’kwethu’ is a show that is based on all thing polygamy.
Mzansi Magic’s ‘Mnakwethu’ is a show that is based on all thing polygamy. It is mostly intended for people who want to get into a polygamy and need help in telling their loved ones that they would like to bring another woman into their marriage. At often times the men on the show seem to have been in a relationship with women they want as second wives for years.
The polygamy question then seems to be hurting the wives of the men more, making other people think that the men are inconsiderate people. The show, hosted by Mzansi Magic’s ‘Thando Nes’thembu’ bachelor Musa Mseleku, aims to bring understanding of the idea of polygamy. One of the people who came to the front to also speak about polygamy is Isibaya actress Ayanda Borotho. She went on to speak about her initial understanding of polygamy.
She states on Twitter that originally polygamy was meant to benefit the family, not the man only. She states that the woman is mostly chosen by the family, so that she benefits the family instead of benefitting the husband only. This supposedly means that the way people are doing on Mzansi Magic’s ‘Mnakwethu‘ is probably wrong. Black Twitter also comes to the playground using the hashtag #LetsTalkPolygamy.
One tweep says, “Men why do you guys find it so difficult to accept a woman having multiple partners whereas you expect women to be ok with you having more than one female partner?” One tweep says, “Men indulge themselves in extramarital escapades, because “tradition” gives them the option of making it official. This patriarchal system is far from reparation.” One tweep says, “[Polygamy} is better than being cheated on because honestly speaking we won’t stop cheating…”
