Some tweeps blame foreign nationals for allegedly messing up the country. One tweep says, “If this is what South Africa has come to due to the Term “Democracy” and the phrase “South (Africa is for Everyone who lives in it” then We are in for a high jump…” The people’s hero, Tumi Sole says, “The Hillbrow situation has been left unattended for decades! We can talk about Human Rights till Kingdom comes but lawlessness can’t be condoned! SAPS & Tactical Units should pounce during the early hours of the morning & do it properly!”
One tweep says, Nigerians are worse than apartheid yes I said it look how (what) they’re turning #Hillbrow (in)to. We can’t even walk free anymore. They rape, kill, sell drugs.” One tweep says Hillbrow used to be a pretty good suburb. The tweep says, “This suburb was once a top residential area. One of the cleanest where South Africans could only dream of staying. Today, it’s an unrecognisable slum.”
One tweep says people are busy persecuting one of their own. The tweep says, “The problem with South Africans is that we are too ignorant. Busy prosecuting our African brothers and sisters over drugs that came from Brazil and Russia. Divide and Conquer. Africa is wounded and fighting each other won’t fix it.” Other tweeps made jokes about the situation.
One tweep says, “The day I donated my watch, my ipad and my empty wallet to a poor guy at Hillbrow under the bridge…you don’t (know) the happiness I felt when I saw him smile whilst putting his knife back in the pocket.” One tweep says, “Slay Queens defending their men, they know if the Nigerians leave SA they might be forced to look for work.”
