A 17-year-old bodybuilder from Bloemfontein allegedly broke the leg of his dog while trying to test his strength. The Society for Prevention of Cruelty To Animals in the area was called to Bayswater on Sunday night buy a person who heard the dog screaming and the screaming didn’t stop. Local Society for Prevention of Cruelty To Animals inspector, Duan Matthee, discovered the dog at the house in brutal pain.
The inspector says he was averted from treating the dog by a boy at the house, who seemed hysterical, according to Netwerk24. They were shocked by what they saw. “We found a puppy lying in a pool of blood and hardly able to move. We struggled to get to the dog as a 17-year-old tried to fight us off,” says the organisation on the Facebook page. The organisation had to call officials to help them get the dog.
The officials asked the boy why he was fighting them from getting to the dog. The boy told them that he wanted to test his strength as breaking a broom stick was not enough. He then goes on to search how strong bones are. “He then called his dog and started to press on the dog’s leg. The leg eventually broke with such force that the bone had punctured through the skin,” says the Society for Prevention of to Animals. The organisation says that they still struggled to get to the dog as the boy had dangerous objects in his hand at the time. When the officials arrived they got to apprehend the teenage bodybuilder and the inspectors were able to get to the dogs.
