The Zimbabwean embassy in Pretoria has started a book of condolences for the people who want to send their condolences after the passing away of former president Robert Mugabe. The book has been made available from Thursday and ends on Friday at 3 pm. The book will also be made available in Cape Town and Johannesburg.
Ambassador David Hamadziripi told African News Agency that “To give those who wish to convey their condolences and sympathy on the passing on of former president of Zimbabwe Robert Gabriel Mugabe, the embassy of Zimbabwe in Pretoria has opened a book of condolences in his memory and honour.” The former president passed away on the 6th of September at the Gleneagles hospital in Singapore.
He was known to have spent months at the Singapore hospital because he hasn’t been in good condition for a while. The illness is still not known. Robert Mugabe’s remains got to Zimbabwe’s primary airport on Wednesday. The former president Robert Gabriel Mugabe was the leader of Zimbabwe for 37 years. He was taken out in November 2017.
