Weddings are meant to be special and beautiful occasions. Everything is meant to be on point so that the bride and groom may be happy. However, the special and beautiful occasion was ruined for one couple. A video of a fake cake of a Nigerian couple made rounds on the internet.
The bride and groom were puzzled when they found out that the majority of the cake was just Styrofoam. The bride’s friends were the ones that found the Styrofoam part. The friends found the Styrofoam when they could not pierce the knife into the cake. They removed the icing and all they saw was foam beneath the icing.
The wedding cake cost the bride R2 010.13 (50 000 naira). People on the internet had their says about the matter of the fake cake. One of the users felt as if the woman deserved a cake like that for 50 000. The user says, “50k wedding cake and you expect knife to enter all of it my friend, your 50 k is the only one on top jare.”
Another user opposed the ones that were against the woman paying 50 000 for the cake. The user says, “Nobody should come with “50k is too small for a wedding cake”. They both agreed on the price of a cake and not foam. One user says the bride could possibly know about the fake part of the cake but “she’s freaking out cos of her friends to cover face.”
