Cassper Nyovest mocked his rival AKA’s watermelon flavoured Cruz Vodka in his latest hit song with Dj Sumbody called Monate Mpolaye. In the song Cassper Nyovest says, “Se reng Ciroc mo ngwaneng…ha re battle magapu (we don’t want watermelons.”
Cassper started being the Ciroc ambassador with the likes of Thando Thabethe. AKA received a better deal with Cruz the following year. AKA’s deal was more better when he was said to be receiving royalties on every bottle sold, this has become a norm for most international celebs such as Diddy’s Ciroc deal. Twitter had it in for Cassper when a picture of three new flavours Ciroc launched emerged on social media. One of the new flavours was called Summer Watermelon. The way the saying backfired made tweeps laugh at Cassper.
One tweep by the name of Venda’s Perfect Idiot started it by posting a picture of three new flavoured Ciroc vodkas saying, “Cassper: Ha re battle Magapu
Diddy: Ha se company ya mmao (This is not your mother’s company)”
