Community assistance sought #CrimeStop

ASTERN CAPE – The South African Police Service in Uitenhage are investigating an inquest after the body of a new-born baby boy was discovered by a group of children at about 15:25 on Thursday, 14 May 2020. Children were playing in the channel next to Gamble Street, Central, Uitenhage when they saw a 20L drum and discovered the body of the new-born in it.

A postmortem will be held to determine the exact cause of death. The circumstances surrounding the discovery and how the body landed up there is not clear and it is under investigation.
