DURBAN -Man fatally stabbed over R100

DURBAN – An18-year-old murder suspect is due to appear in the Eshowe Magistrates’ Court tomorrow. It is alleged that on 17 November 2020, at 13:00, Eshowe police swiftly responded to a murder scene which was reported to be at Mbomboshane area, at Eshowe. On arrival at the scene, the police were informed that a 35-year-old male had a quarrel with the suspect over an amount of R100-00. The suspect allegedly stabbed the 35-year-old man in the left upper shoulder before fleeing the scene. The victim was declared dead at the scene.

Eshowe police officers traced the suspect and was found at Mbomboshane area where he was hiding. A murder weapon was also found in his possession. He was arrested and charged with murder.

KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Khombinkosi Jula commended the police officers for their swift arrest.
