DURBAN – In the early hours of today, Durban Central police officers were conducting patrols when they spotted a suspicious vehicle.
The vehicle was spotted parked at the corner of Stamford Hill and Kent Road with the driver inside. The police officers approached the driver of the vehicle and he was questioned regarding the vehicle. The investigation conducted at the scene revealed that the vehicle was stolen on Broad Groove Avenue in Phoenix during August 2018.
A 36-year-old suspect was placed under arrest for possession of stolen property. The recovered vehicle was also taken to the police pound for further investigation. The suspect is expected to appear before the Durban Magistrates Court tomorrow.
