Educator Keeps A Learner In Class For The Whole Night. The Department of Education is not certain about the time of the shutting in by the educator.
A female educator has been called an animal by the department of education in KwaZulu-Natal. The department of education discovered that the female educator shut the doors of a classroom while a grade 3 learner was inside. The grade 3 learner was shut inside the class for a whole night because the learner didn’t do the work that should’ve been done at home.
Muzi Mahlambi, the spokesperson of the department of education in KwaZulu-Natal, told TimesLive that the event happened at a school in Donnybrook, Durban. The event happened on Tuesday. The matter was brought forward by an individual who saw it.Muzi Mahlambi says, “We then contacted the school, who confirmed that school management was dealing with the issue.”
The Department of Education is not certain about the time of the shutting in by the educator. However, the department believes that it happened after school. The spokesperson says the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Education was angry an shocked when the heard about the incident.
Muzi Mahlambi acknowledged that the educator has been indicted with lawlessness and has also been discontinued. The police have opened a file against the educator, says Muzi Mahlambi. The KwaZulu-Natal MEC of Education, Mthandeni Dlungwane , is set to go to the educational institution in the near future.
