A drive – pass memorial service was held by Ekurhuleni District Police on Wednesday, 01 September 2021 at Edleen, Kempton Park in order to honour their colleague Sergeant Nonjabulo Sharon Mogale who was shot and killed by unknown suspects on Thursday, 26 August 2021 in one of the retail shop at Esangweni Section, Tembisa South.
The member was described as a Soldier by her colleagues and friends who managed to have taken away some of the children from the streets and placed them in NGOs since she had a passion of working with the members of the public.
The memorial service was graced by an attendance of the District Commissioner Major General Anna Sithole, members from the Prosecuting Authority, Community Policing Forum, member from the parliament Refiloe Ntsikitle, Gauteng Traffic Deputy Director Mdumisi and Youth Desk from Tembisa South SAPS.
Major General Anna Sithole mentioned that it was a saddest moment to mourn “imbokodo” who served Gauteng with pride. She further encouraged the family members to keep on praying in order for the suspects to pay for what they did and to read the scripture of John 14 from the Bible which advice people not to let their hearts to be troubled, since God is the only one who heals the broken hearts.
Sergeant Nonjabulo Mogale will be laid to rest on Saturday, 04 September 2021 in Pretoria.
