Elderly KwaZulu-Natal Lady Allegedly Killed By Men Acting As Soldiers. A grandmother in KwaZulu-Natal has been sexually assaulted and killed.
A grandmother in KwaZulu-Natal has been sexually assaulted and killed. The 75-year-old lady was allegedly killed by men that were acting as soldiers that told her that they were going around sanitising homes, according to the Social Development MEC Nonhlanhla Khoza on Monday. The lady allegedly let the criminals get in her home.
“It is alleged that Zuma allowed the criminals in to her home after they claimed to be SANDF members assigned to sanitise homes in the area,” says Nonhlanhla Khoza. The Social Development MEC said the lady’s grandson found her body on Sunday. The grandson was sleeping at another house within the home while the event happened. “The deployment of the police and SANDF in our communities is one of many measures to safeguard the lives of our people from the invisible enemy and we take exception when criminals use this to commit crimes against unsuspecting people,” says the Social Development MEC.
She reportedly went on to say that the crimes committed against older people shows that people have lost Ubuntu. She went on to put confidence in the law enforcement agencies in finding the men that are responsible for the murder of the 75-year-old woman. Colonel Thembeka Mbele, the police spokesperson, says a case of murder was being examined by the police in Plessislaer.
