The protestors weren’t at the court hearing to support him but they reportedly wanted to take matters in their own hands. The crowd can be heard saying “Grant him bail. Grant him bail. We want to deal with him.”
The 60-year-old was due at the court for the third time on Fiday. He is looking at a charge of murder. A lot of the individuals in the gallery were infuriated when George Shapo told them that he is coming with the index finger. The man allegedly told the mother, 22-year-old Noncebo Mkhize, that he was coming. The mother seemed puzzled but didn’t respond to the alleged threat made directly towards her.
The crowd of protestors said that they would pay his bond if the court gives him bail so that they could deal with him outside the court room. The man was not anxious, he was also smiling. His case was set to the 3rd of April. The child, Mbali Mkhize, was last seen on the 21st of December allegedly with George Shapo. It is allegedly stated that he strangle the little girl to death. He allegedly acknowledged to killing her, he also guided the police to a stream of water, where her body was situated. The man reportedly has two former convictions for murder, according to police.
