Gospel artist and news anchor Thabo Mdluli had tweeps had people attacking him for the way he handled an interview. The news anchor was interviewing former Capricorn FM host and news Editor Piet Rampedi in regards to the findings of the South African president Cyril Ramaphosa’s allegedly leaked emails.
The interview seemed like a debate to some of the tweeps. The news anchor kept countering the statements made by Piet Rampedi. On his Twitter account, Piet Rampedi says Thabo Mdluli made inaccurate statements. “Thabo seemed irritated, interjected non stop, made inaccurate statements about #RamaphosaLeaks & assumed our story was not factual until proven otherwise,” says Piet Rampedi.The interview had some viewers not feeling Thabo Mdluli at all. Some of the viewers said the news anchor needs to go back to being a gospel artist.
One tweep says, “Thabo Mdluli failed as a gospel artist, now he is failing as a Journalist!! Even Mzwanele Manyi got him to apologise for running his mouth without using his mind!” One tweep says, “Thabo Mdluli must go back to presenting gospel shows. He does not cut it in the news please @Newzroom405 the Rampedi interview was a disaster.” One tweep says, “Thabo Mdluli was good in gospel but very poor as a presenter.”
