EASTERN CAPE – In an effort to eradicate fraud and corruption in the province, the Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Liziwe Ntshinga has vowed to deal a hard blow on the corrupt and corrupted elements in the public and private sector wherever these show their ugly heads. General Ntshinga’s remarks are a sequel to the arrest of a 36-year-old suspect by an integration of investigators led by the Provincial Anti-Corruption Team on Monday morning, 03 August 2020 at Mont Ayliff.
According to the information, the suspect had submitted false documents to the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) between 05 August 2014 and 04 April 2016 respectively. The suspect, who is believed to be a Director of the Lihle Nathi Property Construction, is alleged to have misled the Alfred Nzo District Municipality into believing that the documents submitted were authentic and belonged to him whereas he had obtained them by fraudulent means.
