Gauteng police arrest more than 940 suspects and recover more than 900 ammunition and 20 firearms during the first weekend of 2021
Gauteng police continued with crime prevention operations in the first weekend of the new year and arrested more 940 suspects for various crimes. The multidisciplinary operations that started on 01 January 2021 also led to the recovery of more than nine 900 ammunition and 20 firearms that include AK-47 assault rifle, shotguns and pistols.
Suspects are expected to appear before different Magistrates’ courts in Gauteng in due course.
