Acting Station Commander of SAPS Dunnottar, Warrant Officer Sonnyboy Twala and his members participated in a multidisciplinary event called “Know Your Neighbour Community Carnival” held in Dunnottar on, 02 April 2022.
The SAPS members were joined by representatives of the Department of Community Safety, Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department (EMPD), Ekurhuleni Emergency Management Services (EMS) as well as the Councillor of Ward 111, Mr Zingisile Mabhe and various other stakeholders.
The event created a platform for the police to engage with community members on crime such as gender-based violence, human trafficking, sexual offences and housebreaking. Community members were also sensitised on general safety measures and encouraged to report crime to their nearest police station.
