Thathi’s hope for justice is snatched away by Jomo’s death but there’s a promise of a return to the old life. Mam’ Sonto finds a new replacement for Jomo.

Thathi is lured back to the rich world when an “old friend” offers an irresistible business deal. Ntokozo is given an ultimatum as he gets recruited for crime, whilst Teddy and Langa grow closer.

Ntokozo is forced to join Mam’ Sonto’s dealings. Thathi’s euphoria is short lived when she realizes that Pretty was right, nothing is for mahala.

Rodney’s proposition sets Thathi against her one ally. Things remain tense between Teddy and Ntokozo as Ntokozo gets pulled more into Sonto’s world. Melusi’s attempt to bridge the communication gap with Ntokozo takes a comical turn.

Sonto has a new mission for Mazet and Ntokozo. Rodney gives Thathi a rude awakening while Ntokozo finds himself thrown into a baptism of fire.

Langa witnesses Buhle tearing into Tshiamo and has a realisation. Thathi learns the truth about her mother’s other business dealings. Ntokozo decides he has to run, but Gomora won’t let him go.

Thathi forces herself to come to terms with a terrible truth as she discovers a new suspect for Mbongeni’s death. Just as the Dlamini’s commit to Teddy as a part of their family, they are met with a nasty surprise back home.
