How AfriForum Reacted To Vicki Momberg’s 3 Year Jail Sentence! Vicki was sentenced to three years (one suspended) for her racists rant towards a black police officer which was caught on camera and trended on social media for weeks!
The civil rights organization AfriForum considers the sentence of two years imprisonment for Vicki Momberg as a reaffirmation of the double standards in South Africa, especially with regard to race. Momberg, an unknown estate agent who has no political influence, has been found guilty of four complaints of crimen injuria on the basis of racist statements she made to blacks in 2016. This sentence is imposed a few days after a major in the South African National Defense Force (SANW) was simply typed after saying that white people’s eyes and tongues had to be stretched out.
AfriForum has also filed 113 criminal charges in recent years against people who assassinate murder, rape, assault and even genocide against white people in public. To date, no significant progress has been made with these matters. However, several days after Julius Malema, EFF leader, made public remarks about the genocide of white people, pres. Cyril Ramaphosa said he would like to welcome Malema to the ruling ANC.
Ernst Roets, Deputy CEO of AfriForum, said that Momberg’s statements were indeed racist and condemned.
“However, the inconsistency applied in this country to minorities has reached the level of absurdity. The reality in South Africa is, therefore, that a white person who insults a black person is jailed while a senior military officer who says that white people’s eyes and tongues must be stretched out, are wonderfully asked for again. In addition, an influential political leader making genocide talks is rewarded with an invitation to join the ruling party. “
