The controversy continues for singer Mandla “Mamphintsha” Maphumulo, who is confronting assault charges by Bongekile “Babes Wodumo” Simelane.
Mamphintsha’s record label, West Ink Records, had appealed to host a concert at the University of Western Cape (UWC) in May.
The university currently declined the application due to the video that surfaced showing Mamphintsha allegedly assaulting Babes Wodumo.
Previously this week the university said it was still making its decision.
Mamphintsha was charged with assault on Monday.
