Weeks after Nomzamo Mbatha and Menzi Ngubane had their exits from Mzansi magic’s ‘Isibaya’, it has also been reported that Jessica Nkosi might also be leaving the show. Philly Kubheka, the head of public relations and publicity for local entertainment channels at M-Net, says Jessica’s travels were written in the story as if she is leaving the show, and it thus gave a clue that she might come back.
The head of public relations and publicity for local entertainment channels at M-Net says, “Jessica is going to Ghana, and Jessica’s trip to Ghana is part of a story on Isibaya. Productions often create a story with someone travelling to allow them to take a break or to do other short projects.” The actress has taken a hiatus from the Mzansi Magic show once in 2017 so that she could go work at the theatre for two months. At the time, the actress said it was something that she felt like doing at that point of her career so the opportunity presented itself to her.
She went on to say that the last time she was on the stage before that was when she was in her final year, so she missed being on the stage. Nomzamo Mbatha and Menzi Ngubane’s characters were both killed off set and the two actors announced that they are off the show. Menzi Ngubane went on record to say that she wasn’t fired of ‘Isibaya’ but his character’s time on the show was over.
